Salem, NY-Frances M. Collins, 93, of Salem, passed away Monday morning, February 15, 2010 at the Bennington Health & Rehabilitation Center.  Born May 4, 1916 in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William and Inez May.  Mrs. Collins graduated from East Side High School in Paterson, NJ and had worked as the school secretary for the Pequanock Township Grade School in Pequanock Township, NJ before retiring after 20 years of dedicated service to the school.  She was a great cook and loved to sew and enjoyed gardening.
 
Mrs. Collins is survived by her husband, Howard A. Collins of Salem; two children, Elizabeth Cromley of York, ME and Robert Collins of Kennebunkport, ME; a sister-in-law, Hazel Conine of Bennington, VT and 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
 
Graveside funeral services will be held in the spring at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Salem.
